Thread: Pirate Party Ideas

Anyone had a pirate party? I'm trying to think of ways to decorate, what food and drinks to make and would LOVE to see pictures of other pirate parties. Mine will be the day after talk like a pirate day! I've searched online and found a few pictures, but not too many. I'm hoping to start decorating tonight and could use pictures and ideas for inspiration!

I found this link Oceansoffun_Pirates has alittle bit of everything on there. pirate themed foods and such. for decoration.. you can get treasure chest fill them up with chocolate gold coins.. pearls, jewels.. you can have skeletons ... pirate flag, swords.. if its an adult party with drinks you can get beer mugs.. i hope that helps a bit.

there are a few pirate threads on the forum, you can look around on those for inspiration.

I remember seeing someone's website about doing a pirate themed Halloween party, maybe my buddy mem22 has saved it. The one thing I liked was that they used those plastic dubloons like real cash at the party. When the guest showed up they were given a small amount to start and they used them to buy food and drinks. They also could earn more dubloons by doing thing like clean up or telling a good joke..simple things. On the other hand there were fines to paid for things like spilling something, taking to long in the bathroom or whatever else you'd want.

Thanks for the ideas! I did buy some of those plastic gold coins but was just going to use them for decoration. I like the idea of handing them out to guests, especially with the bathroom penalty! lol Thanks for the link!
