I am in the process of building an electric chair prop and I need some suggestions on how to make this work. Here's my idea....we have built a regular electric chair out of wood and I have purchased a small sensor mat to be placed in the seat of the chair. When someone sits on the sensor mat I want the chair to vibrate, with an shocking sound and flash of light to go off at the same time. No actual electrical shock will take place, just the effect. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...I'm running out of time.
I made two benches for the local haunted house that I volunteer for. Each of them had a palm sander attached to the bottom of it, covered with sheet metal (for lots of noise) when the guests would come in and sit on the benches to "witness the execution" they were the ones who got shocked. I got the idea from somewhere on here, but can remember where. Anyway, it was a huge hit! The patrons were all sitting there waiting the see the guy in the electric chair get zapped, and they were the ones who got zapped instead. The palm sander made the bench vibrate and the sheet metal made a horrible noise. Scared the crap out of them!
