Just wanted to say good luck to all of my fellow Houstonians and Texans! I guess I will have to take down some decorations...

I'm in Houston.

My work let us go early today, and we're off tomorrow.
My DH has to go to work... they ORDERED everyone to show up or ELSE.
He works in freaking advertising... there is NO REASON for them to demand this!
The roads are already getting bumper-to-bumper coming out of the coast, and my Dh is going to have to traverse that nightmare sometime tonight on his way home.
I guess I can work on some of the small props, but I'm irrationally p!ssed that I'm not getting to get out in the garage to work on our crypt this weekend.
We're on the NW side of Houston, so hopefully we'll not see too much damage, but I feel for all of the poor people having to evacuate or stuck closer to the coast.
Everybody stay safe!I'm a Halloween Bride! 10/31/2002

Indeed be safe to all.
And Frankie's girl that's ridiculous. Threatening? What they going to do, lose someone for not turning in due to a life threatening disaster. I'd like to see how that went down in an unfair dismissal trial.
But yeah, stay safe.

I'm in Corpus...Ike was tracking towards us for a while, but to be honest I'm glad it moved north. My home was built in '67 and survived Celia in '70, but I wasn't sure about how it would handle Ike.
Anyway, hope everyone in Houston area the best...I'll be out on the jet ski this weekend enjoying the surf.

Ugh. huricanes. They like to bring tornados along with them.
Can you stake my heart?
