Even though I own many of the movies shown on during Monsterfest or 13 Nights Of Halloween I still find myself sitting down to watch them when their on tv Does this happen to anyone else ?

Yes , I do that . There are certain movies that I just can pass. What's playing on AMC?

Yeah some of the movies they show WAY too many times during the month of October lol not sure what the schedule is for AMC yet but they usually have some pretty good ones.

I love Monsterfest !! I'm glad it's back !!

Oh I absolutely sit down and watch any of the Halloweens when they're on...even the later ones.

Last weekend, I was sitting at my desk at home kinda late at night and the original Halloween came on. I was SO excited. I started saying "my favorite movie! my favorite movie!!!" and Nathan and I watched it. I have seen it about 800 times and even have it on DVD, but I still watch the dang thing every stinkin' time it's on TV...commercials or not. hah hah.

I too love AMC's MonsterFest AND the 13 Nights of Halloween...even if the movies they show do kinda stink. It's just nice to know that whenever I turn on the TV, I'm going to have SOME horror movie that's playing. I feel oddly comforted by it.

Some of them aren't that great I agree lol but I always like to check out the new movies they show every year atleast once because some of them aren't too bad at all lol I remember the first time The Hollow came on the Family Channel I loved it! Now I own it on dvd and watch it every halloween atleast and sometimes during the other parts of the year as well.

Just saw a commercial on ABC family promoting the 13 Nights. Some of the movies I saw that they'll be showing.

We had a discussion about that at work. We all own certain shows on DVD or tape, but go out of our way to watch it when it's broadcast. "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" are 2 that we have to watch when broadcast.
Maybe it's a vestige of growing up and having to wait for a show, not having the instant gratification of watching something whenever you want. I think our age has something to do with that.
