    Just curious if anyone has ordered off Spirit's website, and if so, have you had any troubles with your orders - this year or any previous years?

    Two years in a row now I have placed orders on their website and same has last year, I am having issues with an order. I placed an order on 8/28/08 and another order (for something else that I had to have) on 8/29/08. According to their website the order I placed on 8/29/08 says that it has shipped, but the order from 8/28/08 says "in process". I looked at the order and noticed that the quantity of items that I purchased has decreased. One of the items that I ordered has been taken right off my order. Good thing I have the original confirmation of my order. I spoke with a representative at Spirit today and I got the run-around for a good 10 minutes before I got angry and this person really sat down and looked into my order. Needless to say, it looks as if Spirit had a problem with my order. Basically, it looks as if the warehouse "lost" my order. Oh, it gets better, because I had the exact same thing happen last year to one of my orders I placed with them. After it was said and done, my order from last year arrived 3 days after Halloween and I only recieved a portion of my order. Spirit all but refused to accept my return of this order last year. I was promised this would not happen again, and because of the buy one, get one 50% off this year I decided to give it a try again. Looks like I made a mistake by ordering from them again this year..

    Just wanted to give an update to my issues with spiritofhalloween.com. Finally, according to their website both my orders have been shipped. Wednesday of this week I recived half of one of my orders. This is the second year in a row that I only received half my order. I have called and complained two times so far and it looks as if I am going to have to call again today.

    For a company who specializes in Halloween and has a small window of time to sell their products their customer service is pretty poor. I am in business where we supply product to the customers and if we don't get our product out and on time our customers will go to the competition. I would think that Spirit would want to keep their customers happy, because there are other companies that I can buy from, and I will definately look to purchase from others going forward.

    I have three orders with them and I've only received one order. I doubt I will ever order from them again. Their processing is way too slow, especially as the poster stated for a seasonal store.

    I don't know about ordering from their website, but the Spirit Halloween store just opened in our area. Last year when I bought some items from their store, half of the items didn't even work and their return policy states no refunds, strictly exchanges only. I am very careful of what I buy in their store now because of their horrible return policy. Thanks for the heads up on their online service. Doesn't sound like their way of doing business is good for anyone.

    I try to do all of my online halloween shopping fromGuaranteed Lowest Prices on Halloween Props & Halloween Animatronics at HauntedProps.com. They usually ship out within a couple of days of receiving the order and I have found are very reasonable on everything they offer. Last year they ran were out of stock on something I had already ordered, but seemed very concerned on making the order right. The email correspondence was great from their customer service and offered a better item than what I had ordered, but gave it to me for the same price.

    Just got off the phone with a representative from Spirit. The inital rep. that I spoke to gave me the same run around as the rep. I spoke with on Tuesday. Finally, I asked for the manager. The manager came on and apologized for the issues that I have run into. She said that they had some sorta glich in their ordering system (quote: "the orders were lost in their servers"). It just happens that this so-called glitch happened on the same two days that I placed orders. To top that off, that was the same excuse that I recieved from the manager last year when I had the same problems.

    Now I just looked at my credit card statement and found that Spirit had no problem charging me both of my orders, and the full price to boot. The manager has refunded the dollar amount for the product that I did not receiving from my one order. They wont refund/cancel my other order, because it has shipped. This, I have to wait 10 to 14 days to see if or what I recieve and then have to contact them for a refund for any product that did not show up.

    I was asked what Spirit could do for me to keep me as a customer and I gave her two choices: (1) clean up their ordering/shipping process and get my my products with some sorta discount. (2) instead of online orders, I would appreciate coupons that work in-store (i.e. 50% second item) like they had coupons for online. This way, I can buy my products in their stores and not worry about shipping and the amount of time it takes to ship. Plus, I can pay cash and not have my credit card billed for items I may never receive.

    Last year we ordered a "Gothic Witch" costume for my daughter. The whole order,after accessories etc came to like 80 bucks. They charged my husbands debit and never sent the costume :thumbsdown: About 5 days before our party we went out and bought another costume. Personally, we'll never do online business with them again!

    Wow, sorry to heat that. Since the stores will not take returns, I have purchased more online. I just rec'd Frankencuted and Hannibal. I have ordered 5x, rec'd my items within 10 days all 5x, returned items 2x with no issues. Henceforth, after reading this, I plan on making any Spirit purchases at the store on Nov 1 for 70 percent off.

    I have ordered from Spirit only once and it was the after Halloween sale last year. I received everything with no problems in just 4 days.
