So, have you actually downloaded a font and you just can't 'find' the new one or are you looking for a site with fonts? Or neither?

I just reread your post. When you download the font, you should be able to extract the files (just find the folder you downloaded).
How about this; from the beginning.
You've clicked 'download' font. Does it ask you where to download it? You should go to Local Disk C: > WINDOWS > Fonts. All your fonts should be there. Once you've downloaded your font to that folder, click the folder and there should be an option to 'Extract Files" and it should extract them to Window/Fonts. That's really it. Close word and open it back up.

Visual aid!
This is from the beginning. I went to a website that offer free fonts (and actually like the first thing I saw). Large pics, but I wanted to make sure it was all visible.
Here's the website I went to, clicked the 'download' button.

Asks me where I want to save. I got to Local Disk C: > WINDOWS > Fonts

Once downloaded, double click the folder and it'll unzip it.

On the left side of that window there's an "Extract Files" button. Extract them -- the destination is WINDOWS>Fonts>name of font

Once extracted, view the extracted files (little checkbox should already be checked to do this).
Open a separate window and drag that extracted file to the WINDOWS>Font. (you can skip this step by making your 'extracted file' destination WINDOWS>Fonts without the font name after... I just didn't do it here).

Open Word and it should be there. It may take a minute.

Hope that helps.
