I've been about 6 times . Usually about 3 good house the rest just ok. A couple of good scarezones . I would say go at least once if you can , first impressions are good. If you go on a weekend buy the express pass.
Be afraid , be very afraid !!

I went with my family a few years ago. Totally LOVED it!
My 2 sons thought they were the best haunted houses they've been through. All 7 haunts gave me a good scare
The park had some great scare zones, and riding the Hulk at night was so much fun!
I agree with El Diablo. Express passes are a must. The lines can get very long. With express passes, we didn't have to wait in line once. Totally worth the extra money.

Went two years ago, wife was too pregnant last year and we might go this year.
Our trick to avoid the crowd and save on the express pass was to go right at opening, and speedwalk thru the scarezone, stage shows and go to about the 4th house first. That way, you stay ahead of the crowd and then when you make your way around to the 1st house, it's pretty late and the lines are thin. We saw every house, every show, rode every ride and ate a meal that night when we heard people complain about not even getting in every house.
Go!

Definitely get the express pass and I would get it regardless of the night I went. DH and I go just about every year and attend on Thursday night. The express pass is what makes the night. No waiting and you are able to go to all the houses without tiring out first. We love it. in fact, my name "Terra Queen" is named after one of their icons one year.
Go, go, go , go!!! You'll love it. By the way, if you haven't yet, go to their website. It's interactive and scary! Great way to get you in the mood for Halloween.

Oh, I forgot! The site I posted has a secret interactive scare. Click on the clock in the upper right corner. It will load and then click on the journal. Then start clicking everywhere. There are secret interactives in it that tells the story of Bloody Mary. Be sure to click on the journal pages on the left side. Sound up again.
Here's a direct link to the clock:

I go to either HHN or Busch Gardens Howl-o-Scream every year (though not this year...) and I prefer Busch Gardens. HHN just ends up getting too crowded if you go Thurs-Sun. The atmosphere is top-notch, haunted houses are great, overall awesome display, but it's just too congested.
IF you do go, you HAVE to get the express pass, otherwise expect a couple hours per house.
Howl-O-Scream on the other hand... it's beginning to be more and more crowded, but still slightly more open and less waiting - plus Busch Gardens is owned by Busch so there's beer a plenty if you're into that.
If you compare the two straight up without taking into account the crowd, HHN is probably a better quality and quantity, but the difference can be so small that the cheaper, less crowded Busch Gardens decision is worth it (to me, definitely).
It also helps BG is 20 minutes away for me

I plan on going this year but I will have my little girl with me. My question is..Is the whole park Haunted during that time or is just a section?
Need to know if they need to stay at the room that night or not.
