Autumn is Fall and all the seasons change on the 21 or 22. Though I doubt I'll see any seasons but summer and spring, so... whatever.

    Yes.

The seasons are divided out by the equinoxes - So September 22 is the Autumnal Equinox and the beginning of the fall/Autumn.

METEOROLOGICAL Autumn begins on September 1. More here and here.

The ASTRONOMICAL start of Autumn is the Autumnal Equinox (when the sun rises directly east, and sets directly west), which this year is on September 22. After that date, the sunrise moves down to the southeast sky, and the sunset moves down to the southwest sky, making a smaller and smaller arc across the sky each day, until Winter Solstice (December 21), when the process begins to reverse.

Fall can happen any time in Chicago sporadically. In July we could have a fall day.

We have 5 seasons here though, the normal 4 and construction....all 5 can happen at any given time.

Everyone is right. People think of fall right after Labor Day though.

I wish it was fall here already. It's slipping between fall and summer every week lately.
