I was doing a search to try to find a Pottery Barn coupon (because they are way over priced and I want their Halloween goods) and didn't have much luck. What I did find was a reference to buying a coupon or gift certificate on ebay. Did a search there and this is what I found, but I don't know what to make of it.
POTTERY BARN & PB KIDS 10% OFF ENTIRE ORDER COUPON CODE - eBay (item 330262033193 end time Sep-13-08 07:21:01 PDT)
It looks great, but I'd have to buy $70 worth of stuff after buying the coupon before I was getting any discount. The seller has almost all positive feedback but buying a coupon just seems fishy. Any one else run into this kind of thing or have any experience buying one and if it worked?

Try going to retailmenot.com and typing in Pottery Barn in the search. It will give you coupon codes and they are free. I have saved alot of money by checking this site before ordering anything.

Not general coupon codes. –

If you are looking for specific items/classes of items, then retailmenot is fine, but they don't have general coupons (e.g. 10% off your entire purchase). Instead, they having things like "free shipping on all throws," and "save 20% off loosefit slipcovers." The coupons that folks sell on ebay are usually coupons that work for most types of merchandise. I agree that unless you intend to spend a lot, many coupons on ebay are ridiculously overpriced, especially given that there are precious few cool halloween items there this year!
