Exclamation Lexington, KY Make & Take

I think we've got enough interest now to start voting on the date and project! I'd like to start around noon so that the people driving in that day won't have to leave home at the crack of dawn!

Please cast your vote for the date and project, then make a post that includes whether you'll be driving home that night or staying in town (so I know when to wrap things up) and if you'd be interested in going to the Nightmare Haunted House. Remember that some of these projects are simple enough (or require some drying time) that we'll have extra time to do another easy project.

Yeah, that's the one. They are open for a "sneak peak" the weekend of the 13th and open for regular business on the 27th. Have you ever been? I've not but I love seeing their hearse around town!

I am available to do all of the dates that I clicked yes to. I am also going to see if there are any more tour dates for the Austin Peay Site that I can take my daughter to instead of doing it on the 13th in case it's easier for everyone to do it then. I also forgot to click the tombstone on the list I would be ok with making that as well. The only thing that didn't really look too appealing to me was the rock ....... although when I hear it I immediatly think Charlie Brown..... I got a rock.

I think it will also depend on what day it is if my husband and I stay the night, but we'd love to and goto the haunted house depending on which day it ends up being.

Haha! I can see that. I made one of these a few months ago (and discovered that I don't really like paper mache!). I used Ghostess' technique, you can find it on her website here. They're great if you have lights in your cemetery and want to hide the fixtures.

I haven't tried lights in my graveyard yet, but was thinking last year that I might want to do this... just not sure about the best way to go about it. As it is now I feel like I have extension chords running all over the place and we put new windows in this season and have no outside outlets so I'm not sure how I'm going to hook anything up honestly. I'm a bit worried

I'm sorry guys...I'm out. I am traveling most of the weekends in September so I can't take off on another one! I wish to goodness I could though.

There are four more days to place your votes and I haven't heard from some of you that expressed interest in the original thread.
