Being new to Halloweenforum.com I have only read recent threads, so there is a potential that this question was asked in the past. Regardless, I am curious if your spouse/significant other shares in your enjoyment of the Halloween season and the decorating?
Of course, my spouse is not excited about another Halloween season or else I would never have posted this thread.

It's a family event for us. My husband's b'day is Halloween and our son's b'day is the 29th. We spend a lot of time making props together! In fact, the two of them are building me a coffin right now and joking that is what they will bury me in.

my hubby is an Episcopal priest, and while he doesn't totally understand my enthusiasm for Halloween, he does support me and enjoys a good party. I'm lucky...he cooks, helps me clean (before & after) and just laughs when he looks at what I'm surfing online and sees "the black screen" ... meaning halloweenforum.com. The kids get into it somewhat...my preteen is into it more this year than ever before & my 8 yo is still a little squeamish about the gore. Overall, we enjoy it as a family.

My husband is very supportive but he'd never dress up or throw a party if it weren't for me (but there are a lot of things he wouldn't do if it weren't for me!
). He helps me build props and will go Halloween shopping with me occasionally. He even tries to help come up with stuff if I ask. I don't know that he's really into it but he makes a point to tell everyone about how "awesome" my party is!

My husband grudgingly makes props... but comes Halloween night he really loves getting all the credit!! The rest of the year though, he mostly calls me "Halloween nerd" or "freak". Oh welllllllllll it's been 15 years, he'll get used to it in another 10 or 15 maybe???

My wife maybe has 30% of my love for Halloween but more importantly she does not do anything to deter me. My kids on the other hand love it. I have two girls 5 and 3 that love for me to put horror makeup on them. I'm grooming them to be Halloween fanatics like their dad.
Be afraid , be very afraid !!

my husband likes it but i do most of the decorating & party planning. it doesn't have to be halloween for him to pop up behind you with a michael myers mask on.

My partner merely tolerates my obsession and only participates on the night itself by giving out candy - which I totally appreciate since I'm usually swamped by adults wanting to talk about the decorations. So I get to do all the dirty work myself, but it's a good trade-off because I am in complete control of all things Halloween in my household. Mwaa-haaa-haaa-haaa.
