I know this thread has probably been done before but whats the scariest thing you've seen in other peoples Haunted Houses?

mine was at a Haunted trail in the woods and you had to crawl through a cardboard tunnel. When you came out the other side there were huge stacks of hay and a guy in a Michael meyers Mask came out of nowhere while we were still on our hands and knees.

Well, I haven't been to a house haunt in years, because I am always working on Halloween with my own haunted house. But I would have to say the scariest thing I have ever seen at a house haunt, is this pumpkin patch this lady had one year. Mind you, I was very young... but as we walked up onto the house you could see multiple pumpkins amongst lots of vines and branches. Well my sister and I went through the house, received our candy, and was walking back to our parents past the patch when all of a sudden one of the pumpkins starts to float towards me and I freak out!! After I finally calmed down I got to see that the pumpkin was the male owner of the house. He was dressed in a vine and branch outfit and had a fake, but real looking, pumpkin for a head piece. He had been lying on the ground, and noticed we weren't paying attention to his area so he decided to scare us!! Pretty scary for a youngster, but I look back on it and laugh so hard!

The one thing I will always remember getting me was the car from nowhere. You know the lights and horn at the same time coming at you in the dark, after you rounded the corner. I screamed.

I can't say I've ever seen anything really frightening in a haunt--I know where I'm at, after all, and I don't generally scare that easily.

    However...

One statue at the entrance of a haunt I visited a few years ago suddenly moved. THAT gave me a start. Best haunt gag I've seen. That kid did a great job as the contorted statue-guy!

only a good startle, Hobbs Grove near Fresno CA, there was a table with the typical person lying there where you know the body is underneath. Above her is a rack with what look like wooden spikes, which you expect to drop on her eviscerated body. Instead of dropping straight down however it swings toward the patron, making a loud clanking sound. Good startle.
So come up to the lab and see what's on the slab.

i was about 12 and my family went to a what was advertised to be a haunted hay ride. at the end we got off (the hay ride seemed lame) and entered a gated area that seemed to be the exit with old wood buildings around. we were all disappointed, but then they closed the gate behind us. out of a balcony came this guy in a real cow skull on his head with huge bull horns and no shirt and blood splattered all over. he was holding a shotgun. the beginning of marilyn manson's antichrist superstar song starts playing: real heavy riffs with chanting in the background. the guy says, hope you enjoyed your hay ride, but now you will all die like the swines you are. he then cocks the gun and fires it into the air. right at that moment about five guys in bloody flannel shirts and ripped jeans all start chainsaws and rush out from the dark recesses of the other buildings. it was unexpected, frightening and AWESOME! then chainsaw guys led us like cattle to the entrance of the rest of the haunted house like forest area, but none of it was as good as the first bit after the lame hay ride. pretty nice bait and switch! kids were crying and ladies screaming.

    ah memories!

"What is the neatest, scariest or most memorable thing that you have ever seen in another haunted house?" (I am asking this as they are exiting mine)
Very unfortunately for the haunted house industry and yes, even unfortunate for home haunters too, so many times there is a blank look on their faces as the memory banks can remember the free toaster from their new checking account but can not come up with any horrific or interesting things that they have enjoyed from a haunted venue.
To get real with the average customer I may remind them that even if a haunt ws not scary, it still required a tremendous amount of physical labor and time to put together, organize and put up what they went through.
See a haunt one time, and you may be impressed, turn right around, buy another ticket , go back through it and it may suck in the extreme! Why? Maybe some of their key actors are on their break? That's all it may take to drag down the best to the worst in the experience level.
Then there are those that bemoan the fact that haunts are not as good or scary as they were when they were a kid or went through them for their first time!?
This is very simple to figure out...you lost that cherry, that first timer expectation and thrill, now you are an impervious adult! So get over it! (Or seek out a haunt that trys not to copy everyone else's things......like mine.) No my ego is not out of control here I'm just saying what so many have said in referencing my place.

I worked as a volunteer for Gyro's World of Terror when it was at Great America. A buddy of mine was one of the head guys there. He had a schtick where he put on clown make-up (kind of gothy but creepy) and would go at a full sprint behind people. The hockey leg guards he had on had these metal rivets on them. Right as he approached the victim he would caclke and slide on his knees past. Sparks would fly up from his legs and send his victim jumping away from him. He usually had enough speed that he would be at another victim at the end of his slide. This victim would turn to see whe the person behind was screaming and not see my friend who was now standing in front of them waiting for the turn around "HOLY CRAP WHERE DID YOU COME FROM" scare. He manaqed a couple times and each was well executed.

I like to do the scares where a cute couple is walking together, you get the guys attention and he moves aside. You take his place and walk with the girl. She is busy looking elsewhere and your presence "feels the same" to her because you are about the same distance. Then you move into her comfort bubble without touching and just breathe. QUALITY jump, cower and scream nearly everytime. The beuaty is other boyfriends see the act and when their girls stops paying attention invite the spook over for another go.
