I think the most of us use a PVC framed character in one way or another during our Halloween Haunts. I found it to be the easiest and cheapest way to build character props throughout the years. My question is, in what ways do you fill these characters out (their stuffin')? I been using items from packaging peanuts to plastic bags, but am curious if anyone else has better ideas.
See my attachements for some of my most resent characters.

I use plastic bags.
I'm sure there are better ideas out there, but they are free and I have tons of them, and cheap and easy are what I am all about (okay, not THAT way
).
I did one by putting a black sweatshirt over the frame, and then stuffing the bags in around until it looked right. I tied off the bottom to keep the bags in.
I love your Freddy scene - looks very real and I bet it is pretty scary when it is dimly lighted!I'm a Halloween Bride! 10/31/2002

Sometimes when you order stuff instead of packing peanuts you get
those sealed plasic bags. I use them and Duct tape them in.

Best way I've found is to use chicken wire. It can be contoured like you want and is easier to work with in my opinion.
You just need some spare wire to get it to hold once you have the chicken wire netting bent the right way. These two guys have PVC and chicken wire frames...

I use foam egg crate that I pick up through out the year on clearance at Big Lots and such. It works great and gives a real body look and feel when it happens to get touched. For the monsters outside, I cover the foam with large trash bags before I dress them so the foam stays dry.
