Dear Fellow Haunters,
I put it to you, that on the 20th day of August in the year 2008, DayTek, committed a crime against, not only the forum, but the institute that is known as Halloween, by confessing a preference to the other (less significant) holiday, known as Christmas
Where I come from this would be seen as treason and is punishable by hanging.
I for one find this person, by his confession, guilty of the above charge.
Please feel free to cast you guilty - not guilty vote and any punishments, which should be cast upon this misguided individual.
I believe he should be sentenced to 1 full year of watching horror movies (1 per evening) and that for the his other love, should be forced to decorate his house with halloween items for the December period.
I rest my case![]()

Um...You mean I'm the only one that leaves my skeletons on the front lawn and throw Santa hats on them? I thought that was a given...I believe he should be sentenced to 1 full year of watching horror movies (1 per evening) and that for the his other love, should be forced to decorate his house with halloween items for the December period.
BAH off with his head... No Christmas for him this year!!Why rule the living when you can control the dead.

What-what?
Harumph, harumph, harumph...
What says the defendant? Is there any representation for the defense?
Should the verdict be guilty, I stand with the original propostion of punishment but with the caveat that no Yuletide or Christmas themed horror films be allowed in the year's rotation. Further, no gifts shall be given to this individual that do not relate directly to the furtherance of All Hallow's.
So the defendant, if guilty, would receive only items such as cheesecloth, joint compound, spare cans of paint primer, hot wire foam cutters, and perhaps a chocolate... shaped as a skull or a pumpkin, of course.

I too was shocked, SHOCKED I say, when I read that. I had to reread it several times to believe my own eyes.
I quote
"Remember, this is seasonal preference, not holiday preference. Example: My favourite holiday is admittedly Christmas, but Autumn is my favourite season."
I decided to play devil's advocate (for there is no worse a devil than one who would forsake Halloween for the dreaded day of red and green) and allow DayTek to perhaps admit that it wasn't a preference, merely an EXAMPLE of what one might say... if one were not a member of this forum. So DayTek, I say, swear your allegiance to Halloween or admit that you hold Christmas in higher esteem and prepare to submit to your punishments, however harsh they may seem!!!! The defense (cough cough) rests. So come up to the lab and see what's on the slab.
