I posted a thread when I found the battery tealights at Walgreens so cheap. Then about a week later, I found that abcdistributing sold theirs for an even better price. In the abc thread, people asked how they compared so I made a vid of them side by side.
On the left is one of the abcdistributing tealights and on the right is one of Walgreens one.
It's hard to see in the vid but the abc light bulb has much more color in real life but it doesn't flicker. You can see later in the vid when it turns to green how the bulb is filled with color, but most of the vid makes it appear white. And it's bulb is fatter and more squat. abc sells them 1 dozen for $5.98. I ordered two packs and it took them 12 days to finally ship them but the shipping fee was only $6.18. You also have a choice of buying them in plain white or the color changing.
The Walgreens one sells 6 for $5.
Here's the vid, I hope it helps...

I like the flicker. Thanks, Cassie for comparing them. I was holding out until I heard about your ABC experience.

Dollar Tree locally stocks the flicker style ones in packs of 2 for a dollar.

Glad to help. I know several people were curious as to which to go with. I'm just sorry I couldn't get a better vid of it. I tried with normal room light, dark room, sunlight and then using my camera on night vision. The night vision mode rendered the best quality.
I like the Walgreens flicker lights better too but I can see uses for the cheap abc lights also.**********

I agree - I like the flickering bulb MUCH better. Last year Home Shopping Network had some rechargeable ones that I'd like to find again...

Cassie7, thanks for the vid! I'm really liking those Walgreen flicker lights - have to get over there to see if they've started stocking (like most around here they wait until after back-to-school is over.)

MAN...Cassie, I just realized it was you and I who bought stuff from ABC distributing. We're in the same stinking town and could have combined shipping! hah hah.
Well...you've got my number now if you decide to order anything else. I haven't received my second and third packages yet, despite them showing as having shipped on the 13th and 14th by UPS. The UPS says "billing information received" and that's it. It's said that for DAYS now. I'm growing impatient but it's nice to see that they'll be neat once they get here. I got two packs as well...one of each kind.
Have you found any of these 2/$1 ones at a Dollar Tree around here? I am gonna need to go check Walgreens and Dollar Tree.
