I know Mel! That's so amazing! I didn't realize until just yesterday that it was you that ordered them too.

We checked the dollar tree on Broadway but they said that they were out and had no idea if or when they'll get them back.

Cassie7 Thanks for the video. As I was watching it I kept saying to myself 'I can't believe I am watching this - And SO into it' I was waiting to see about the abc ones, but I really like the walgreen ones, I have had good luck with them.

I like the ones at Walgreen better than the ones at the Dollar Store, They have a better battery life and look more real.

I was wondering about the ABC ones also.

I love the flicker ones from Walgreens. I do think they look the best. I have even dressed up a few of them with hot wax "drips" down the sides and painted them, and they look near as anything to the real thing when the lights are low.

Thanks for the comparison - and I'm sure if I needed to get a large number of them the ABC ones would work.

Thanks for posting that Cassie. Was the ABC one a color changing one? On my screen it looked a bit like it was changing colors. We've ordered some white already, we figured even if they don't look as good as the Walgreen's ones, mixed in with a bunch they'll look ok.

I saw the ones at Walgreens today. They had 3 packages of 6 left for $5 ea, and a bin next to them full of singles for 2 for $3 (gee...I think I'd stick with the packages, thanks).

Here's my question though....they are RATED for 40 hours on the battery, which probably means less. The batteries are those flat li-ions. What keeps me from buying them and making a bunch of candles is replacing 20 of these things at each Halloween at $3-$4 per battery. I'm really wishing you could easily convert them to run off a couple rechargeable AAs. It's not like you don't have the room making those PVC candles.

I'm even cheaper than some others here and hate the idea of using batteries I can't recharge / use for other things throughout the year.

It was the color changing one. If you watch toward the end of the vid, you can see the bulb change quickly from yellow to green to blue. My camera just didn't show it well. In real life, the bulb is brightly lit with the changing colors. like red to orange, to yellow, to green, to blue, etc.

I prefer the flickering tea lights that Walgreen sells but I can definitely see how these cheaper lights could be useful.

And for people with battery questions, it takes a CR2032 (very typical button battery). Actually, both tea lights take that battery. I've seen them advertised to burn for 40+hours but of course it all depends on the age of the battery combined with storage and usage temp.

I received mine yesterday. I like them a lot! But man...are they ever small. They are the exact size of a tealight though. I don't know why I expected them to be bigger. Now I can use them in place of all my other tea lights!

I guess I'm a doofus for expecting them to be larger. hah hah.
