All year I've been looking forward to ordering a full facial prosthetic from Scream Team (screamteam.com).

You folks around here know, they're one of the very best.

I was gonna get the Jester and large ear tips. I have never found a foam latex appliance anywhere near that face, which is dumbfounding. It's a classic look, and therefore one of their best sellers, but no other latex prosthetic maker has anything close to it.

However, the most recent info on the site is from late 2007, early november. I tried to order the appliance through their Yahoo store (the only way you can order something from them) and the message says the Jester is sold out until early NOVEMBER 2007.
That's what it says today, AUGUST 2008

The phone number? "We're sorry, this mailbox is full".
No blog updates this year, no new products, no email response.

Am I completely hosed? What happened to the most popular prosthetic supplier in the business? Who else can I turn to for that look?

I'm gonna bump, and yeah, I know it's same day, but I figured if anyone in the world understood, it would be you guys.

Honestly... I'm SERIOUSLY Freaked! Ever had a halloween plan go so suddenly and utterly wrong it made you sick and you lost sleep? I'm there, man.

I planned for months for this. One of the primary reasons we went with our party theme this year was because of that astonishing appliance from screamteam, and when I go through the order process, it looks like ALL products are listed as currently out of stock?
And how was I to know? I checked the site throughout the year, but you don't get this info until your ready to order and add to basket and so on.

I'm having a slight break down here while shaking my head at woochie crap noses and the lack of good chins. I didn't just want the Jester, I was banking on it.
Frankly, as big as foam latex prosthetics are around here, I'm surprised no one has mentioned this before.
I hope Scream team is alright. I have money for them.

Better! Foam Latex Appliances, Movie Make-up, Halloween Costumes: The Scream Team for the quickest service or you can email us for also quick service. Thank you very much!....THIS MAILBOX IS CURRENTLY FULL-PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER-Goodbye.

    Like I said...
    I appreciate you tryin' Natasha.
I am completely stunned that a.) no one here seems to know about this and B.) there's no news as to what may have happened.
They may still be trying to get something going this year. Over the weekend, the wife and I tried every facial prosthetic and we could not put a single one in our basket, but...
We could order the rubber mask greasepaint makeup and the DVD.

    Odd, man. Very odd.

Hi Spats. Got your message today and called around. Here is what Brian at Frends Beauty Supply who is friends with the owner of Scream Team told me.

Scream Team is definitely open for business and going strong. Maybe even too strong. They are swamped right now with orders and manufacturing.

Here's what you can do. Call Brian at Frends (818 769-3834) and he can order anything you want from Scream Team. You can also try a competitors' product at: FX FACES FOAM LATEX PROSTHETICS

I've never used them, but they look pretty good.

I should stress that I am not an employee or even affiliated with either company although my how-to is featured on the Scream Team site.

Let us know how it goes!

    Push E.

    UPDATE...

Push, I really appreciate the contact. Brian was fantastic about the whole thing, considering Scream Team is not his company. It's pathetic that I had to go through him to get a response.
Brian was thinking he could order anything for me, as you said, until he ALSO tried to go through the Yahoo shop and discovered the facial appliances were all showing as 0 when you tried to add them to your basket.
So, he took my number and promised to have either Scream Team or himself call back.

Within ten minutes, Brian called back. Apparently Scream Team couldn't be bothered.
They are busy and looking to revamp their website soon; the projected update is the "end of this week thereabouts".
They are planning some new products, but the piece I wanted, The Jester, which was listed on the website as "NEW!" the entire year, but supposedly out of stock in Nov 2007 when looked at Product status...
Well, I was informed there was no way I'd get one of those this year. No reason, just no way.

Understand all this is via a friend of yours, this gentleman Brian, no affiliated with Scream Team but trying to help me out, some stranger, get in touch with a company advertizing on the web.
I feel like crap. I shouldn't have to ask some stranger to help me get the attention of a company wanting business. Shame on them for not taking the required seconds to respond to me personally.
My two emails are still unanswered. They were given my number in both emails and by Brian.

They just couldn't be bothered to take the thirty seconds needed to say "Sorry, there's no way we can get you the Jester this year, we're swamped. Heads up, we're bringing out some new products, look for the website to update soon! Thanks, Spats!"

If you're so busy you can't communicate with customers, you're doing it wrong.

Well, I was a fan of their stuff, and had a fistful of cash ready to become a bonafide customer, and they just couldn't be bothered to even reply?
So, Larry at BoneyardFX has my money now.
He replied immediately and had some good suggestions.

I'll end this by saying Scream Team no doubt makes good products people like, but I'll never know. I can live without the really cool whatever, you don't just frikkin' IGNORE a customer.

Also, Push? Thank you, man. You didn't have to help, nor Brian. I am in your debt, the both of you.
