Here are my Halloween props in the making. Well, sort of, lol....

My small pumpkin patch is giving me at leat 10 nice sized pumpkins this year. Plus since it's my first year attempting to grow some, I consider myself to be quite lucky. Hopefully they will get nice and big so I can do some carving and some cooking!

Here are a few pics :

I TOTALLY agree! And I'm also very taken by your nail polish! Good luck. I've always wanted to grow some. I'll try it one day.

    Awesome! I am so jealous.

Maybe you can give me some advice. Last year my husband left pumpkins to rot on top of wheat straw. To our (very happy) surprise we know have pumpkin vines! However there are no buds. What needs to be done for them actually to produce pumpkins? Any ideas? Thanks!!!

I wish everybody would post pictures of their gardens & pumpkin patches. I loved looking at your photos Mistress so I hope its ok that I posted some of my pumpkins here too. I took these photos when I was up there working on my Scary Scene pictures.

The last 2 are of our sunflowers & the family of geese & now 2 white ducks (their new, they needed a home) that live on our properties most of the time. As I said the neighbor can touch them, they love her!!

Hope we get a lot of pumpkins too we planted them along with the neighbor up in his big garden but then last year Jer threw some pumpkin seeds into our garden at the house & they came up like crazy this year..... so the garden behind those sunflowers has pumpkins too!! Thank God they are all over......can imagine what pumpkins will cost this year!!

Mistress of the Abyss, great pumpins! ( i also love the nail polish, I actually just picked up some like it!)
Muffy, great pumpkin patch also!! Mine is doing pretty good, have some mildew problems, but have a couple of bigger pumpkins and several smaller, I actually managed to have 5 white pumpkins, something I never had any luck with before!!So hopefully they will all do well
I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

Oh I like those white pumpkins, a lady use to grow those in Nebraska.

We also tried to grow the big ones here but its not looking to good. At the farm when I was in Chicago I had great soil for my garden. We grew 6 of those 80 - 100 pounders....oh man try moving them. We used a dollie to get them out of the garden & then it took 3 of us to lift them into the truck. But man they were cool.

I'm gonna try again next year but this time we will make a special place for them soil wise. I'm not use to growing things in this clay..so I have put in a lot of soil. Actually the garden is Jerry's ....he doe that too!!lol
