Here in Texas, we won't see fall for quite awhile, so I have to live vicariously through those of you more North. Any signs of fall yet?

Seems like the Netherlands had their summer back in May and now in August, its full fledged fall!
Windy, rainy and cold
We have our team day today. Lunch, then a 4 hour training, then SAILING, and then dinner tonight at a dinner theater. I'm really glad I didn't sign up for the sailing haha Yesterday we had wind gusts up to 90 km an hour. Wind is a bit calmer today but not enough to make you want to sail lol Plus chance of scattered showers all day.
Maybe september will be better.
A little indian summer would be nice.

Every year I look for the changes. We have Summer for like 10 months in central Florida, but every once in awhile I can feel a change. just a little dry air. The way the wind blows differently. Can't wait for low 70's! Oh, wait. News showing Tropical Storm in Caribbean. Summer trudges on.

in north Georgia. I have commented several times this week that it feels like football weather! YEA!
Winds a blowing, lows in the 50's in the mornings, I have actually been riding with the windows down in my Ridgeline. Can't wait!

Here in Iowa the days are getting shorter. I've noticed a few small patches of leaves in some of the trees starting to become a lighter green color than the rest of the leaves, and a few trees all of the leaves are a lighter green suggesting these trees are beginning their change likely due to the cool weather. It may be early but air temps have an effect on trees. I remeber 1-2 winters ago we had such warm temps in Jan. that the trees began to bud again in the middle of winter as if it was spring. So the cool temps we've been having are probably causeing some trees to begin their change. And as mentioned in another thread the crickets and cicadas are a lot more noticable with their chirping which seems to happen every year just before Fall arrives.

Here in NY, it is most def. getting cooler at night- last week it was in the 40s' three diff. nights! My crab apple tree's leaves are changing and falling and the apple trees have apples changing to red and hitting the ground. I am so ready! It has been a wet summer. I love fall here, and can't wait!
