    Hey there, missing me?

I've been making some rather unusual graves.

Intended to enter a Guild Wars Halloween Art contest, they are a combination of some graves found in Guild Wars, and the religious practices of the Hamar, Dinka, and Zulu tribes in Africa, mixed together to form a graveyard that still fits my overall 'feel' of the yard. (My 5 year old wanted a graveyard)

Anyway....staging and details will be much better by halloween, but I need some input on the burial mounds. Just what color IS the underworld that they spirits are attempting to escape from?

    Red?

    Green?

    Maybe a little of both?

That is just to cool. I say.... The underworld would be a combination of colors. I like the red and green picture. I'm wondering what a Black light would look like and if you used one would it be bright enough for the effect?

I'm guessing 'no' from my past experience with blacklights.

Wouldn't hurt to throw one under there, though.

Oh, and I wasn't unpacking my fog machine just for this little test run. Will be fogged, of course, when it matters.

I'm sure that you are right about the black light thing. Are you going to add blue light to overcast the fog and graveyard?

I voted for red, with the whole fire and brimstone teachings from youth. Green is unearthy to me, but I like it.

I like the red. I think it's more creepy. The green doesn't do anything for me for some reason, even though we use green flood lights on our house. Maybe we should do red this year.

I MIGHT for fun for a day or two prior to halloween. I typically mess with lighting prior to Halloween. ON Halloween, though, everything in my yard gets lit by torchlight. (as these are in the lit photos, there was a torch next to me and the camera)
