Talking 2008 Jack-o-lanterns!

Not only did I carve my first jacks of the season on Saturday, I carved my first jacks using a hot knife. I absolutely love it! I will never, never go back to using the saws. It was so easy that I did two of them. My hands are thanking aSmarteru for telling me about it! Without further ado, here are my pumpkins!

Thanks guys!

I bought the Creative Versa-Tool from Michael's. It's basically a wood burning tool that comes with a lot of different points for various techniques. The hot knife point looks like a Xacto knife. You can typically find them with the foam pumpkins at Michael's this time of year.

LOL You know, I think I bought that for my styrofoam projects. Now I just have to find it.

They are fake pumpkins...like those funkins and whatnot. You can get them at places like A.C. Moore and Michael's.

They're a bit different from carving actual pumpkins but pretty awesome nonetheless.

I have never used the fake ones before. Maybe I'll try that this year. Are they very exspenive? I'm assuming it all matters on size??

Anyways, great job Rikki. I wish I could follow a pattern but I can't even do that!
