Okay I'm sure that this has happened to someone else out there. I think that my zucchinis cross-pollinated with my pumpkins and my brother, who's planted pumpkins before, says that they will most likely stay the same dark green color that they are now. I don't think that will be very tasty, so I think we'll have to skip homemade soup, and pie this year for the holidays . On the upside, this means that we'll have even more jack-o-lantern and Halloween decor! So what do you do with green pumpkins? Any ideas? I only have 3 plants but they seem to have around 10 fruits already, so I'm expecting around 20!

Are these pumpkins ready to be picked? The reason I ask is because most pumpkins start out green and the sun turns them orange. I have lots of green pumpkins right now. In about a month they will all be orange.

We had a green pumpkin one year that was kind of square-ish, so I carved a Frankenstein's Monster. The shape may tell you what it wants to be!
