after speding $1,000+ in '07 with nearly 130 mask and 70 costumes roughly. Tons of props and lights, nearly every bell and whistle you can get for Halloween. Close to 40 gravestones, lots of walls, and paneling for my maze. As we speak my 10x20 storage space is jammed full. I have to ask the question I know it is a silly one. When is too much Halloween too much?? Where or when do I stop. I cant possibly use all this decor in one year with new items coming out in 2008 I wont be able to resist not buying. I again plan to spend maybe a little less then last year but where will it end.

I am always adding new stuff.I have on occasion given away older props to freinds to add to their collection of stuff.Of course ,I could just keep it and use it in the backyard....

For me it all depends on space. Not so much for storage but where I would display everything. If I have the extra money (I LOVE tax returns) then I'll get what I want. If I don't have the money then I'll still get what I want. It all depends on what and how much your willing to go.
halloween is a super cool holiday.

And as far as storage goes........well thats what those little storage buildings are for......heck ya can have a whole row of them & while they are empty of your halloween treasures.......you can decorate them FOR HALLOWEEN!!!hehehehehe!!

I agree with condemnedone - I spent that last year on FOOD ALONE. I think it's a personal decision everyone has to decide for themselves. But, I have to say, as the economy is the way it is this year, I've decided to give up things so I can have money for my Halloween party (I don't go to the movies anymore, I cut and color my own hair, etc.), and to me it's all worth it.

Someone asked Me (I think one of My kids). What is the definition of Human. I said "The ability to aspire to improve on the things that We have created, and too help Those in need". I think this site allows Us expand on those abilities, thus making Us Human.
    Cheesy Huh.

Cylonfrogqueen and I have the same storage problem that everyone else has. We will though be adding more headstones, a coffin, lightning, and better sound this year. And We will attempt too pack MORE into the attic that I had too lay a floor in for last years stuff.

I can't wait till I get in my house...I'll have more to decorate and half a garage to store it all in...and like the storage buildings...I'll decorate it too when I pull my stuff out. I know I will buy more...we fill the space we have after all.

Do you know anybody who'd like to do a scene of their own? Maybe you could loan some of your stuff out (to somebody who'd take good care of it, naturally).

You never know--once your loanees get a taste of haunting, they might get hooked just like the rest of us. And the community grows by one, then two, then three...just like the invasion of the body snatchers!!!!
