I don't know why people have such a problem with this holiday. Today I went to Michaels to check out their Halloween stuff, and while on the aisle my friend and I where given religious pamphlets by a woman who proceeded to tell us the evils of the devils holiday.

omg. I can't stand bible thumpers. Some people really need to educate themselves,and open up their minds. Halloween is a Pagan Holiday-the Wiccan Holiday for Halloween is called Samhain. I consider myself Agnostic Pagan. Samhain is about honoring our ancestors and remembering our deceased loved ones. It is also called the Witches New Year. There are Pagan origins in many things,including Christmas and Easter. Bible thumpers wouldn't believe that,though but oh well. You never see Pagans going around giving out literature on our Religion or Spiritual path. I'm not bashing Christians,either and my family is Christian. I know not all Christians are narrow minded but some are,and I don't like anyone who tries to convert others to their way of thinking. I respect others beliefs as long as they respect mine,and I'm open minded,too.

I was at big lots yesterday, my son were checking everything out. I noticed out of the corner of my eye, these old ladies visiting. One of the ladies kept on looking either at us or the halloween display I couldnt tell which. Finaly, after her conversation she comes over, Im like ok, oh here it comes this is what they are all talking about.
She says: "hmmph, Halloween already"
my reply: yea, I know and not a moment too soon, actually kind of late this year"
her reply: nothing
I was kinda disapointed she looked at a few things and like a rat scurried off!

People like that make me laugh. She'll be back. I don't handle those situations well, I would have done something similar!

She's the type of person that writes letters to the paper or calls into radio shows to complain about the paper or the show's host. You know, "I'm never listening to your show again Sally."
