Haunt/Party Ideas, Theme Suggestions, Name? –

So, I'm looking to do another haunt / party, as we did in 2007. However, last year we rented a local union haul (union family members = discounted rental price). The hall worked really great, but it was a real pain to hurry up and decorate Friday night after work and all day Saturday, then run home and get ready to turn around and come back again. I'd really like to have a party at our house, take our time to decorate over a week or so, and tweak the party decorations to stay for a Halloween Night Haunt. The party will be on Saturday the 25th, in the evening.
However, our house is not nearly big enough to house a great number of people. Shelving in the garage also makes space a little limited, but we may be able to utilize some of the garage for a haunt area, blocking off the inaccessible arease. Things would just be wonderful if we were out of this house and into the new house we are going to build, which will not only have more room but a daylight basement and possibly a shop, but alas, not this year.
Then there is that whole Pacific Northwest thing, unpredictible weather. If we could guarantee great weather we could do quite a bit in the yard, but I'm a little hesitant to put too much effort into that and be rained on.
Any suggestions on how to make the house work? Or should we just tough it out and do the hall again for one more year?
Also, I'm looking for ideas, suggestions, etc. Last year we pretty much just had decor all around, dead trees, a mad scientist lab area, a vampire area w/ coffin, and a few other simple things. They raved over it, and I definitely want to top last years efforts, and I think, it would be easier if we had a more central theme.
I'd also like to come up with a name. Our last name is Johnson, and I'm not sure if we should just use something simple like "Johnson Manor" or similar, but I will take any creative suggestions!!
