That is a great costume, but pretty pricey.

well here is my thought: I am going to do a swamp so, it will be dark the scareactor will be dressed in black then I will go to hobby lobby get a bunch of fake vines and cover the actor have the actor stand next to a real/fake tree, heck I dont think they will even need a pot, if we do the vines right. When the ppl walk by the actor comes alive. It may be a good idea for the actor to not be a very large person in this case smaller might be better.

You could always get one of those large plastic pots at the garden stores, have you actor stand in it and then throw a bunch of the moss around his feet (easy in/easy out). I like the vine idea too. The less he looks like a person...the bigger the surprise. (Especially when everyone is used to scarecrows, etc. jumping at them.) But the plant move? Awesome idea!

We saw that costume at this year's TransWorld's Haunt Show. The guy would be all hunkered down so he looked very much like a small shrubbery [spoken with the appropriate MPFC accent], then rise suddenly to his feet when someone approached. Yes, it was pricey, but it was a great suit!
My son owns a Gilly suit and is going to buy a large pot to do the same thing in this year, for the TOTs.
By the way, the other popular costume at that booth was a skeleton suit - the best I have ever seen! However, it was also quite pricey."Well I guess they were wrong then, weren't they?" I-gor

You might think about making a ghillie suit. Military snipers use 'em. Some of them just use pieces of plant-colored cloth sewn all over a jacket and pants. It breaks up the outline and, in the right surroundings, makes the wearer virtually indiscernable from the local plant life--even at very close range. Something like that making a move on you in the semidarkness would likely scare the hell out of you!
