It's pretty decent. Some stellar props and animatronics. However, I will tell you this, your experience may suffer due to lack of scare-actors. There biggest times are June / July and October, so that's when they stock up on actors. However, for the best experience make sure you go on a Friday or Saturday night, when they have the most actors there.

I'd have to agree with Mr. Nobody. I'v had friends that have told me there actors suck and ruin the moment. But again that's from people that told me. Check it out and let us no. :-)
halloween is a super cool holiday.

I took my daughter through that one back in 2006. I enjoy just seeing the cool props, animatronics, etc. if someone actually scares you it's a bonus. what i don't like is those people who complain through the whole attraction about how stupid it is, and trying to act all tough and not just enjoy things.

I was there on a monday in June this year. It was ok...some animatronics were not working. A bit of lack of scareactors, tho they were trying hard...we just don't scare easily.
Be sure and check out the Mysterious Mansion a block over on river road. Also has some cool stuff, same lack of scareactors tho.

I just got back from Gatlinburg about 3 weeks ago. To be honest with ya...I didn't think Ripley's Haunted Museum was worth it. The trip was way overpriced and was a lot shorter than what I was expecting. With the cost of things there in Gatlinburg...my advice would be to save your money on this one.

I was hoping to get some good ideas to bring back with me, but was unimpressed. The sounds were way too high, and not too horribly scary...and I had a 5 and 7 year old go with me.

Although, not to take anything away from it like Mr. Nobody said...I went on a Thursday afternoon on the 3rd of July.

On a different note...go a few miles down the road and go to Wonder Works in Pigeon Forge...It's the big building thats upside down! It was a great time.

Ripley's Haunted House at Myrtle Beach scared the bee jeebies out of 3 12 year old boys two years ago. My son and his friends LOL ! They would not sleep with the lights off! The Chain saw guy really got to them.

I have to agree...I went to the one in Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago and they were entertaining...but it would've been more so if ALL the props were working and if it was FULLY staffed...overall good time though...I too went in thinking I was going to get some ideas...got a few sparks, but nothing magnificent!
