Thread: Online DJ equipment seller recommendation

I'm looking for a recommendation for an online seller of DJ equipment. What do you all use?

In case anyone is interested here's what's on the shopping list for my MIB:

Chauvet Hurricane fogger with DMX adapter
Color splash DMX LED Jr. light
DMX cables
Chauvet DMX-4 relay

I'm so excited

If you don't mind not having "name brand" equipment... cheaplighting.com is the best. If you need name brand, try pssl.com or northernlightfx.com. As a DJ, I have used all of these before and couldn't be happier.

i use musiciansfriend.com and music123.com this year i am getting my rgb led lights from cheaplights 4 for 200 woohoo and i will prob get my relay packs from bulbamerica on ebay

I did a search for cheaplighting.com. No joy. Did I use the correct name? There's a cheaplights.com...

Well, wanted to say thanks for your help. DJ Equipment | DJ Lights | Fog Fluid |Stage Lighting | Chauvet lighting | DJ Gear had other things on my list that I didn't think a DJ lighting store would carry so I killed a couple of birds with this one order. Plus their prices were great.

They also had a $22 mini fog machine that had an optional DMX converter ($23). I called them to be sure that it would work and they said yes. That will save me a remote hack!

What does the dmx converter do?
