I have over 3 dozen aged blucky skeletons now, but I'm thinking of selling them and going to all full size Buckys. (I have about a dozen Mr. Thrifys also, and I'm going to sell those)
What makes the bigger impact? A few Bucky skellies or dozens of Bluckies?
I had two Buckys that were stolen from my yard years ago. I guess that is why I turned to the cheap Bluckys.
Thanks for your advice!

I've got both and I must say that the Buckys make one heckuvan impression on the TOTers! That said, you do run a bigger risk of having them stolen... And, since they cost six times as much as a Blucky... Well, you get the picture.
I usually put the Bucky's out the night of, so I can bring them in after the "witching hour." The Bluckys I don't really care about, so will leave them out all month."I'll bet living in a nudist colony takes all the fun out of Halloween..."

It does depend on the aplication. You can't realy make a blucky talk and look good. Blucks are great for scene setting but the Bucky is the only way to go for showcase. I like getting the most real looking prop for any effect. But, not everyone notices the details.

My display is mostly static.
I've noticed recently while looking at everyone's awesome websites and photo galleries that the displays that make the most impact are less "cluttered".
I think the above poster is right about many people not noticing detail. Unless you are a walking through haunt, most people are just stopping by for TOT.

How the heck do you folks afford these things?
This isn't really an issue for me; your question that is, because I can't get enough dough to buy a bucky. HOWEVER, if money weren't as much of an issue, I'd get a bucky because I like the most realistic looking thing I can get -- I have one blucky from years ago and he's my only skeleton for just that reason.

dang...I just lost my post. Hate laptops...keep hitting the mouse pad with my thumb.... I'll try again. Application is the key. If you are doing animation, you'll want a bucky...no question there. If not, you can do wonders with a blucky. Think outside of the box. Not all skeletons should be standing / hanging up. There are so many ways to use them. One of my ideas is to take one, turn it on it's side, bend it to almost a fetal position and partially bury it. Make it look like it was being dug up. Throw some bugs/worms around it, a pile of dirt next to it. Maybe some moss. (This is only good if people will get close enough to see it). The point is, you can make even to most cheesiest blucky look awesome with at little work. Like scrourge said...Application.

another thought is the weight... buckys are heavy. Personally I'd rather have bluckys, they are cheaper, lighter and if you mess it up or its stolen its not huge loss. I splurged on a bucky last yr and now wish I had spent that money on a buncha bluckys. Just my opinion
