I have one of those "instant garages" I was using for storage, but we've pretty much emptied it out. I was thinking about using it for my Halloween party. I really won't need it for the food tables or anything, so I was thinking about making it into something more scary. Need suggestions for a fairly resonable haunt idea. It's 12 x 20, no "windows", and each end has a zippered roll up type door. I know you guys could come up with something great. I was thinking a small "fear factor" type set up or kind of set up some creepy rooms inside of it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Last year at my party I covered the inside of a tent with black landscape plastic took all different colors of flourescent paint and my friend and I wrote all kinds of crazy quotes from movies and scary pics, etc. I also spray painted some bluckeys with the flourescent paint and made cut outs with flourescent posterboard and stuck them all over. My husband hung up two light fixtures which we put two flourescent tube bulbs in each. When it got dark the room looked awesome and it was the biggest hang out of the party! Everyone had a blast in the flourescent tent. Also had a boom box hidden playing music and spooky sounds.

I can provide an address to which you could ship the tent.

Octobers here are nasty (weather-wise) and we will have way too many people here for our party to fit inside of our house.
I'd love to have a big tent just to shelter the guests.Fright in Falcon - Behind the Scenes

12 x 20 tents –

When we first started out with our haunt, we used one 10 x20 canopy beside our 12 x 12 shed. and it made quite a large walk tru haunt. What we did was quartered off the canopy (10x20) into 4 five x ten foot rooms. You would be amazed what you can fit into such a small space. Everyone around here loved it. Now we own 4 of these 10 x 20 instant garages and thats how wwe keep most of our haunt covered. Here in London On., we always have to worry about bad weather. Another thing we do is line up 2 of the instant garages and leave 10 feet of space between them and cover that space with an extra tarp, so you have 50 feet of covered space to work with. This is the set up we use in our back-yard, so we have 5 10x10 rooms. we usually make hard walls and use curtains for the doorways into each area. hope this gives you some ideas.

Halloweenbarb - do you have any pics?
I'm thinking about going with either the dot room or possibly all black light stuff like Tallula g suggested. You guys might have bad winter weather, but I've got to make sure it stays in place during hurricane season.
I'll trade ya!!! Thanks for all the ideas you guys.

here is a picture of the outside of the canopys lined up . in the background is the roof of the shed and then one canopy , then poles connecting another canopy 10 feet away from the first one. In my album, the devil room , the mummy room the dot room and the torture chamber are all 10x10 rooms inside the canopys you see lined up. the wooden 'walls ' are a shipping crates from little ceasers pizza when they got new ovens
