Rikki, that mirror is fabulous!!!! How appropriate that it left a ring of bats on the paper when you painted it! I just love haunting the thrift shops too. I might go to some again today. Sometimes I just go there to think -- I can spend a couple hours just looking at things and then trying to visualize a scene.

Great finds!
I think the biggest rush is getting something for a good deal and revamping rather than just going out and paying a bundle for something pre made.

Rikki, great stuff! your mirror looks fantastic,,I also love the candelobra, and candle sticks.
Did you decide whether to paint them black or use patina?
I got a lamp that looks like a candle stick at the flea market, I am going to use a flicker lightbulb in it--cost me a buck, it is dark like aged, I don't know if I will paint it or not.I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

Linus: You've heard about fury and a woman scorned?
Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

Wow, your DIY mirror paint job turned out better than I imagined! I was curious as to how it would look, with the original colour. It's a huge improvement!
Those tall lantern candle holders are stunning! I'd love to have those.
