A while back, I mentioned to my wife that I would love to expand my Halloween haunt to include our back yard, with maybe a pirate theme.

Well, yesterday my wife asked if I would have enough time to do the back yard haunt this year...!

With the projects I have to finish for the front yard, it would be impossible for me to do the backyard as well, but it's great news for Halloween 2009 !

So ... with a blank canvas, so to speak, to work with, what theme would you suggest ? ... bearing in mind that the front yard will remain the Graveyard

I would try to tie in the two yards. Make the front your standard graveyard(which, by the way usually looks great), and make the back an undead, zombie, fleash eating type thing for the older tot's. You can stop the youngens before they get to the more "intense" stuff.

Yeah Herman!! That's great news. I'm thinking the wife might deserve a little treat of her own for that suggestion. I know it sounds horrible, but I have to barter with my husband to get him to work on my props.... it's not what you're thinking. He LOVES to eat and Perkins and it's def. not my favorite, so we compromise

Boo at my house I chase these guys around with the yardstick........just like my Grandma chased me when I was a kid! She never could catch me until one day I fell over the coffee table, when she swatted me again I asked her why I got two swats.......she said>>>>for all the times I couldn't catch you!!lol

Yup at my house the yardstick rules!!

Herman you better get building my Dear........I too would love to put stuff in my back yard but I gotta get the front yard full first!!
