We have a pole light in our back yard but we pay for it. I wonder if we can have it turned off for halloween?

    Check out this link:

It is about dealing with street lights and gives some good suggestions for building a simple screen to rig up to the pole to deflect the light. (there are also some bad suggestions that involve messing with electricity and damaging stuff, please ignore)

If you can get them to turn off the light, great, but it never hurts to have a backup plan - either to deflect or work with the light that is there.

Lmao! That was throughly entertaining! I especially liked the "bagging the light" post! Thanks for the link.
I really dont think Im going to have a problem. We live out in the country and as I said the pole is in our backyard. The previous owners paid to have it put there and we pay $5.97 a month to keep it. I know if we wanted it shut off permanently, all I have to do is give the elec company a call. Hoping they wont mind shutting if off for just a few days.

I've got one right at the end of my driveway....I am going to "box it" unless I can come up with a better idea.
