Went into Big Lots again to see if they had anything out yet. I though since Michaels did this early maybe Big Lot's would. But nope. So I finally asked the guy at check out when they were expecting there halloween shipments, he said August. He also said it's not as much and the stuff's not as good as it was last year (let's not forget it wasen't great last year). He said he "skimmed" the order catalog over and said it diden't look like good quality. It sucks because they have brand names and bargin prices. But what can we do? Strike a protest and dance around a fire wearing only black lace untill they give in to getting more stuff?

They at least had some very cool scarecrows last year for my yard maze. I'm going by there today to see if any are out yet.

Now that would certainly make a statement! Seems like you've thought of this before.

Seriously, that's too bad. I always loved checking out Big Lots when we had one.

If they don't have anything worth buying that would hurt themselves.
Don't buy anything cheesy or of poor quaility and that will send a mesaage for the following year.
Money will be tight this year so best products (value/substance) only.

August 18th is a due date for shelving. Tim ( a maneger on duty) gave me that date. I just got back and that was the news. So it's not to far away but it's not to close eaither. I wont buy cheap crap unless it look's really cool. But it has to be REALLY REALLY cool looking. Everything is going up these days, I don't think prices are going down anytime soon....

Ah cheap crap gets morphed into cool props. One should travel to multiple Big Lots as different stores will have slight variety.

I want to get more of their cheap buckys, hope they still have them, they have for many years, I want to "morph " a few into better , more realistic ones, need for a bigger cemetary than other years

Yea-as far as I'm concerned they only need to stock two items--Bluckys and Talking Boris'.
Mainly the Bluckys!!!
