I had heard raised voices while in Michael's yesterday. When my husband checked out, he told the cashier that he had come to check out what Halloween they had. She said that they had already had a complaint. She pointed to a woman sitting on a bench outside and said that she had complained about how early Halloween is out and something about one of the Spooky Town items saying something about beer. I think she had put in a call to the headquarters to complain. So I was thinking that we should make sure Michael's knows that there are a lot of people who are happy that the Halloween merchandise is already in the stores. I intend to e-mail them and let them know that . If anyone wants to call them, the number is 1-800-642-4235.

isnt it sad to see how people can be ? makes me so mad when i read stuff like that.....that people dont understand that others might have an enjoyment from that holiday and can be happy to shop year round or early for that....doesnt mean those people hate summer and wont it over geez....
we in Canada wish we could have as much and as early halloween stuff as you in the USA .....and to think some complains about it......really sucks....
share the scare i think you have a very good idea that people should show apreciation via calls or emails , not alot of people think about doing that.....as an example , we have a chain store here where i shop and buy all my clothings needs , and the ladies working there are the best , and one of the lady told me one day that when people emailed not called the words get to the supervisors and directors so i did to tell them that this store was their best for service ....they got a mention at the store after a few more customers like me emailed as well so it was a good thing to do....A Witch from Canada

When I went to Michael's a few days ago, They were just stocking the shelves with it. So, I went up to the employee and said, "I'm glad to see the Halloween merchandise so early! I'd better stock up." To which the employee replyed with a sneer, "Well at least YOUR happy." Needless to say I wanted to spit in her scraggly face. I bought stuff nonetheless, but I've never been treated that way at Michael's before. Maybe I should have complained..

That's such a shame, I'm sure we would have the same reaction from killjoys here in the UK if we got Halloween merchandise in any earlier than October. Heck, even when it comes out in October you still get the odd cynic making complaints about it not being a "real holiday" and all that jazz..... why can't people just live and let live? I don't complain to people when they come and ask me about if we stock xmas decorations/cards in September, so why should they complain when I'm thinking about Halloween 4 months in advance?? Bah!

Honestly, I'd like to see Halloween in the stores all year round, but that's just me.

It's so funny how people will get on their moral high horse and complain about a beer sign on 10 inch ceramic saloon, yet turn the back on the poor, homeless alcoholic living on their street corner.

If Halloween wasn't bumped off the shelf by Oct. 1st for Christmas stuff it wouldn't be necessary to stock the Halloween stuff so early would it.

lol i am reading all those post and i agree with you all . The way i see it if i do not want to see something i do not look at it . but there is people who have nothing better to do than checking what s.... they can disturb somewhere. So they get up and oh oh i need some drama in my life i will go to some store and make a complaint about maybe a Halloween or christmas decoration that she or he don't have to look at but needddddddddd to look at so she or he can have their doses of Drama 101 ! So sad ........ i can't wait to reach that age ahahahahaha!
And Like French Canadian Witch said we in canada (qc and ont ) are always at the last minute for Halloween decoration in store that is sad too ......
