Crafts section? Sub-section?

Over the years, there have been a few requests for a craft section.

Do you believe that there is enough interest to create an entire section for crafts?

If so, How would we define crafts?

I would want to make sure that there is not much confusion if an item should be in the props section vs. the crafts section.

What do you think?

Any input is appreciated.

Hey Larry! You could start a section for Halloween Entertaining that could include your "Party" subsection along with a "Craft & Decor" subsection. I've also seen many threads requesting posters recipes for favorite food, drink and games too, so that could be a subsection. Not sure if would fit the theme, but you could also have a subsection for ideas for TOT candy/prizes/handouts.

Can't wait to see what you come up with

How about changing Party ideas, experiences and recipes to Parties, crafts and recipes?

Crafts would include:
party invitations
party favors
table decor
florals
small crafts
kids crafts
hand made give aways
small sewing projects
quilting
crochet
knitting

Hmm. Great suggestions.
I am concerned about something though. Parties and recipes are together as recipes are generally implemented for a party.

Crafts are not necessarily utilized for parties. For instance, one can make a paper mache' ghost as a home decoration and not have a party. So in this instance, the category really would not be appropriate.

Thoughts?

Yeah Larry I thought about that and the party invitations and favors probably should be under parties. I was just thinking that if we had them all under one category it might save you some time and space, have prefixes like under the props section.

I think a crafts section would work. Here are some thoughts:

Home Decor
Scrapbooking
Children's crafts
Miniatures and Models

I don't think you'd need a lot of subsections..just something to cover the basic topics.

As a person who thinks he is crafty and would like to be more so but who really isn't all that great.....I

would love to see a craft section.

I love seeing how creative everyone can be... and while I like to look at the fun and cutesy arts and crafts for Halloween... I think this forum would be just the ticket to make how shall I say ..more "adult" crafts... don't get me wrong I still do and enjoy the less tame and family friendly ones... but a grown man can only have sooo many origami cats and magnets...lol...

I would love to see a lampshade made out of skulls...

perhaps I would get enough courage to post my "crafts" as well.....
