I love Halloween, always have, and it's not unusual for me to get into the spirit at random times during the year. Now is one of those times. I keep feeling like October is just around the corner and it’s time to break out the Halloween decorations. I know there are alot of hard core prop people here who work on their stuff all year because it takes that long to get it ready, but is there anyone else here who just gets swept up in the Halloween vibes out of nowhere?

Me! Me! *waves hand* Halloween and Christmas both strike at random times and when I'm in the mood, I'm IN THE MOOD. It'll be Christimas for me soon though. I always feel Christmas in July. I am getting a little antsy for Halloween because there was a cat on a pumpkin there last year that I wanted really badly and never got so this year if there's something I like that much, I'm just getting it and that's that.

Yes...
The toughest part is keeping my ideas, excitement, anticipation, etc, etc to myself. Once I bring it up with my wife, I'm digging myself a hole. The longer I wait to have her jump in, the better chance I have of her being supportive, excited, and lenient with me.

Yeah, I'm feeling it now too. I've started working on some props at my gym and the guys all think I'm crazy. I just look at them and say, "Uh....you've been to my Halloween parties...this shouldn't suprise you!"

Me too! =)
I have started to pencil in all the layouts and started my shopping list. I've acually started late this year. Last year I started the build in the middle of May.

I'm almost done putting together 4 3-axis skulls, then I am gonna get to work on my FCG, then some more pillars, then the PVC fences to go with.
Man! I just hope I don't run outta time.

LOL,Dionicia- Ihear ya, I have so much on my to do list, if I don't get going I will run out of time
As far as randonly getting the spirit, it doesn't take much with me, for either Christmas or halloween, I can go crazy at any time, probably my whole world is colored by bothe, and they just are swirling around all the time, and take turns popping outI have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

I ran out of time last year which sucked. I was hoping to have my FCG done last year but it was a totally last minute prop that ended up being static (the fan I was trying to use wasn't strong enough). This year I'm gonna try to use a ceiling fan motor or windshield wiper motor to run it and it's gonna have it's own mausoleum which is another thing I need to make.
If it wasn't so hot outside.

That would be me. My friends would laugh when I would tell them in July that I'm ready for halloween. I just printed off some more paper models from Haunted Dimensions by Ray Keim It seems like I get excited for halloween earlier and earlier each year. But I hold back and wait till Oct. 1 to do anything as for me this makes halloween more rewarding. Wouldn't be quite as fun if I was doing halloween stuff all year round.

Yes! I'm not the only one then. Do you guys think I should start decorating? It's not like I have an incredible layout, but I just have this urge to break out the decorations that I do have. I could just leave them up through October (or December)...
