Thread: Saw a Black cat today....

on my walk and instantly thought about Halloween!! I start getting excited around July, but got all excited when I saw that beautiful cat. And it did cross my path-hopefully I won't have bad luck now!

We have a black cat called sam sam, and I've been threatening to use him as a prop this year ... Anyways we recently bought him a collar ... which had to be Orange of course ! Now he does look like our very own halloween cat

On the subject of thoughts of halloween ... does anyone else have that halloween feeling about Friday this week, with it being the 13th ???

This week is friday the 13th?? awwwwwwwwwwesome. Friday the 13ths are typically good days for me.

Black kitties are in no way bad luck. I used to have one and I miss her. Kitties are gooooooooooooood.

I regularly tempt fate. A guy I worked with and I were leaving the building a couple years ago going to lunch. He's very superstitious. There was a very tall "A" shapped ladder near the entrance and I purposely walked underneath it. He was flabbergasted and didn't even want to get in the car with me. I thought it was HILARIOUS!!! I laugh in the face of such bad luck omens... black cats, ladders, the number 13... please!

I love it when something reminds me of Halloween! I guess that's why I keep my decorations up all year long
Friday is the 13th-I will no doubt be in a Halloweenish mood!

I had a nice black kitty(stray) that loves running all over my graveyard on halloween nights and scare the kids by jumping out at them. Our neighborhood was devastated by a flood a few days ago and I haven't seen him since
The funny thing was,while hubby was out looking for him some people who were pulling out all their ruined furniture looked up and said "Hey there's the guy with the cool halloween house!"
I wasn't going to decorate here this year but I might have to change my plans now.

Deadna, I hope you find the little kitty, maybe he's hiding out til things have settled down! And if folks are tallking about your house in the midst of the flooding probs, you have to do the haunt!!
Both my kids have black cats, they are both great cats!
Anything, cats, Friday the 13th, can get me in the mood for halloween, but hten, I guess I pretty much always am!

I get to think about Halloween everytime I look at our own black cat, Jim...can't say he's been the best cat, but I sure do love him anyway. Just wish he wasn't such a barfer!

So, it's Friday the 13th this weekend, eh? I happen to have that day off from cleaning houses..probably a good thing. But this definitely means busting out some Jason Voorhees action as I do every Friday the 13th!

Black cats are a good luck omen in the UK and white cats are bad luck. Reverse of the US. Looks like you'll have to move to the UK if it starts to cause bad luck for you here!

I love Friday the 13ths, must wear black on Friday. I'm always in a Halloween mood, it's just extra special on a Friday the 13th that's not near the day itself. Was actually talking about my Halloween costume a little bit ago since I have a nasty spider bite and it kinda relates to my costume.

When a month starts on a Sunday there is a Friday the 13th that month.
