I am so mad!! I can't believe it. I think I have actually gotten my feeling hurt!!
All I wanted was a party themed postage stamp. I uploaded my party logo. ( a large letter "Z" with the skull and cross bones on it) to the USPS web site for printing stamp lables. You can add the amount of postage when you need it. I need some for the "save the date boxes" and later I will need the invitation postage. Well they said my logo was unsuitable. What???? What do they mean by unsuitable.!!!!! Do they know how loooonnnnngggg I worked on it. How many idea's I had????????? Do they know how long it took me to decide on a logo.!!!!!!!!!! I had to settle for a purple "BOO!" what??? ""Unsuitable my Caassket!!!""
Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

Bummer!! My sympathies. Skull & Crossbones would've been cool, but I can see why they chose to refuse it. I mean, there are worse things that can be used, but maybe allowing a symbol of death just sends the wrong message. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it was in poor taste at all, but what can you do. I'm especially sorry you had to resort to a purple "Boo!"

Last year my invitations were in toe pinchers.!! That would bother me more then the skull and cross bones. besides I worked for three years in five florida Post offices. I have seen what people put in the mail. I have tried working with the people who work there. They have no sense of humor what so ever. They are all flat liners. Big time. No beeps!! I had to leave before they made me go postal. Well needless to say the post master general is off my party list.

Rookie,
I did not conform to their standard it was unsuitable for printing. That is all I got out of them. They hurt my fealing I will never recover. I should send a dead cat in a box and put the zipcode in the wrong place. See how long it hang around in the main office.

Skullie, I'm so sorry to hear that the postal service is ran by stuffy old bastards.
I feel your frustration though, I've had a similar experience. I got an offer to personalize my credit card so I did some editing and uploaded a picture from my fight of me punching my opponent...they rejected it because it "depicted violence". IT'S A SPORT!
Thinking about it again has gotten ME mad now! lol

Yup Spookilicious....me thinks I agree with you!!lol
Skullie...did you try to explain to them that this is for a Halloween Party invitation? I mean why offer custom stamps if they are gonna tell ya what ya can & can't print. The United States Post Office handles 95% of the porno industries items and yes some do come in little brown bags but there are some that do not. Know what I'm sending thru the mail tomorrow? A STOOL SAMPLE! How would you like to be handling that envelope??!!!lol
Ok,...ok...ok....I know...to much information!!
