How much does a laser eye trip device cost? How much for the controller/timer?

    Any recommendations on name brands?

If buying used, anything specific to check or any warranty issues?

    Thanks

if your talking about the garage door kind you will have to build the circuit your self, it uses a series of 555 timers.

Here's a link/video that shows how to modifiy a pen laser into a trip beam:

Might be able to use this same idea for building a simple laserbeam trip circuit for props.

I saw this picture on ebay

I was wondering what a good /fair price would be. I would think the laser should be IR so that could not been seen.

This is a used prop from a haunted house, and it got me wondering what they use. This person is local to me, but the guy did not have it available. I might try back later again, to see if he has it.

It looks like a plug, and relay but I am not sure what the green box is.

The Green box is a programmable timer relay. Here is any example of one made by NTE http://www.nteinc.com/relay_web/pdf/R62.pdf They also make a repeat cycle timer shown here http://www.nteinc.com/relay_web/pdf/R38.pdf
