We got home around 8PM last night, and my wife comes in and asks me:
"What's all that stuff you bought now?"
I haven't bought anything. Seriously. So, I go out and on the front porch is a pile of 5ft poles and a great big box. WTF?
I open up the box and it's stacked full of wooden, carved skulls, complete with a hole to fit on the poles. All of them complete with $20 price tags still attached! There's well over $200 worth there by that price.
So. Um. Thanks whoever you are!!!
I got a narrow list of candidates...I'll track down the doners...but how to thank em?

That is awesome! Do you have any idea who might have sent them? Was there a note or some other clue as to where it came from?

No notes. No warning. Nothing.
There are a couple likely candidates in the neighborhood, though.
My first suspect is the family that owns a local party supply store that does big halloween business every year. Maybe they needed to clear some space for newer stuff? They are also moving, so maybe it's some OLD stuff they found at the house. I think I remember the style in stores last year though.
There's also a family that owns a self storage place. When folks don't pay rent, they eventually wind up auctioning off the stuff. Might be something from them that they couldn't sell, or just decided to throw my way.

I think its way cool that you're on great terms with your neighbors and that someone would think of you before dumping something they didn't want. Its always nice to hear stories about people helping each other just for the sake of being nice.
