WooHoo! Look at those abs! I think I'm in love. LOL!

Body Bags aka Johnny, is right about the shoes. My husband, dressed as the Grim Reaper, surprised one his buddies on his 40th Birthday by bringing him black balloons and a black rose. The buddy wouldn't have known who it was 'til he saw my husbands checkerboard racing shoes. Dead give-away! (get it?)

Creating a Great costume means creating the illusion of reality and believabilty, so many times I have seen a great character reduced to nothing by a missing element, Case in point, you got that big scary monster coming at you in the hallway, all rotted flesh and tattered clothing, next thing you know as he nears in for the kill, he bares his PEARLYwhites!.... COME ON! ILLUSION destroyred by a beautiful set of chompers!

HAHAHAHAH...loved the way you put that Rob.....but seriously you are so right! Thats the fight in my house, we had it last season over the Vampire I made. These guys were like hey there are so many things around the house you could use to finish that piece & my fight was ...ya just don't understand ...he has to have all the right period clothing. I ended up losing cause I simply could not find what I was looking for!

Again with this upcoming season....I am working right now putting costumes together to make sure I have everything ready to go when we dress the props. For me I can visualize that finished piece in my head & the rest of the time is spent just bringing it all together. It takes time and a lot of running in different stores to find exactly what you are looking for which then turns out to be worse cause while in the store I find OTHER things that will work for other stuff>>>>get it ?$$$$$$$lol the motto at my house is>>>>"Keep Muffy out of the STORE!"

But yes I agree that what makes the most for the people visiting your haunt is the realism you can bring together.
