Where should I go??? I'm planning far ahead. Just for me and my gf. Not sure where to go. I've heard London and Edinburgh can be great places to visit.
What do you all think is the best place to visit for Halloween?
Personally, HHN at Universal Orlando is my favorite gig, but I've been there so many times and want to try something new and foreign..
Thanks!

Hello TLF sorry I missed welcoming you earlier. Some forum members are planning to go to Netherworld in Atlanta, Georgia this fall (late September, early October). Netherworld is reportedly the No. 1 professional Haunt in the U.S. I believe they have a web site. You might want to check it out. Be sure to post back where you decide to go so I can live vicariously through your experiences....sadly, I'm not going anywhere this year. sniff sniff sniff!

Netherworld... Sounds like fun. HHN was really fun at first, but then it started to get old. I just enjoy the themepark+horror house idea.
I'll do some research on this location. I'll have to pass for this year, but will definitely consider this for next year's Halloween. Maybe I'll go work there. It's been a while since I've worked at any events. From the sound of it I just might fall in love with the place.
So if you folks have any more tips on London or Edinburgh, or anything in Europe, please feel free to give me your 2 cents. Europe is going to be the destination of interest for this year. Travel dates are Oct 25th-Nov 2nd.
And thanks for that tip MT! Appreciate it. It's been difficult getting advice on this topic, which is why I'm planning a little early.

Really depends on what your hoping for, haunted attractions? architecture?, macabre history? you can go to both London and Edinburgh and exhaust the Halloween interests in a day.
Edinburgh does have the night-time ghost tour.... but given the choice then Id say Highgate cemetery in London rates higher, however, for outstanding Cemeteries then its Pere Lachais in Paris you need to go to...... better still do both Highgate and take the train to Paris and do Pere Lachais as well.

Anthony Boudair, the food guy on the travel channel mentioned something about the halloween tour of Vlads castle, behind the Dracula story. They say the town of Transylvannia goes all out during Halloween with tours of people coming. Think it would be fun to be there that time of year.

I'm looking for something with alot of people dressed up and in the Halloween groove. This is my absolute favorite time of the year. Some added scenery and history would be a nice touch. And I haven't taken a train since I was a toddler... so that sounds like a great addition to the trip. I've always wanted to visit Paris as well.
London+Paris trip sounds great. I think we'll stick with this! We we can stay the first 5 days in London and last 4 days in Paris. Now comes the fun part of planning each detail to figure out the total cost of the trip.
Thanks for the advice!!!
Mr Bourdain.. Love that guy. Haha. Such a great host and a great show. I've seen most of his episodes but not this. I'd love to go to Transylvania, but maybe on a different trip with my folks, whom are more interested in that history. My dad loves Dracula, so this is nice information to know. I will keep it in mind!
Thank you also for the tip!
