After College I want to start my own business that sells Halloween items and I want to know what towns to look at to move to. Where I'm currently living (Nowheresville, Florida) has no real holiday festivies and no Autumn. I want to move anyway but I want to really consider towns that my business would thrive in.
Any ideas?

I think you would do well in Chicago, Halloween is a big thing there and be sure that you start selling online.

Anoka MN does claim to be the Halloween capital of the world, but I never check it out because there is enough going on in Excelsior.
Every year the Historical Society changes the museum into the Booseum, and the trolly into the Ghost Trolley! How cool is that? Our local garden center puts the most amazing display up, (like 100 monsters/scarecrows). It would be fitting to have a Halloween retailer here. (We do get a Spirit store in a neighboring town.)

I think Anoka may be little more than a stunt by the chamber of commerce. It's really frustrating as a home haunt enthusiast, when I click on the link for the results of last year's home decorating contest winners, and all they give you is the addresses and maybe names, but no pictures....

I'm at that awkward stage in life... Somewhere between 'Annoying Fanboy' ...and 'Dirty Old Man'...

Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown, NY
Salem, MA
(To paraphrase the Beverly Hillbillies) "Southern Californy is the place you oughtta be!" There are many haunts and neighborhoods that get into the Halloween spirit in a big way, plus you are in the FX capital of the world.

my step daughter lives in anoka minn. she swears by it for being the halloween capitol. my husband isn't into halloween so when we go to visit we never have checked out anything. i don't drive well in the big cities anymore. i do know they have a nice spirit store.
