Sooo, tomorrow I'm going to lowes and home depot to get some pink or blue foam to start working very hard on my tombstones, and depending on how much this will cost me, I'll be found in the wood section as well buying wood for my newest addition to the haunt, my full on "drive way" gate, then one's that are to open for cars to pull in and what-not. I'm very excited!!

I already have planned out a pvc fence for around the yard part of my display, I am now formulating making some pillars and a gate. Hopefully it will help deter some people from helping themselves to tombstones. poor needy souls.

If they won't, its easy to cut. Just take a straight edge and a a box knife with you. Good luck all!

I sold my entire graveyard before I moved. Some pieces were almost 10 years old and showing their age, and not in a good way.

I love making tombstones. The ones I made in the past were plywood with a foam "face".

Is there a newer/beter way to make them now? I'm a bit rusty on tombstone construction. Thanks!

Completely do them out of the foam - much lighter and easier to deal with. We just poke metal stakes up their insides to keep them from blowing away.
We are about to start making more as well. We finally have the ultimate workshop to do this in which is quite exciting because we don't have to keep putting things up like in our garage at the house.
My husband was contemplating letting some guys "rent" part of the space from us to store a car that they are working on - I just looked at him in total disbelief and had to snap him back into reality! What was he thinking? He finally has the perfect workshop! Once I brought him back to the real world - Halloween world - he realized what a huge mistake he almost made.
