I finally got around to naming my yard haunt. Simple really once I thought about it. I just used my street name. It's not quite finished yet. Might paint the border a different color to help make it stand out.
Here's what it will look like on my columns...
As you can see, I finally got the base coat of my columns painted. I got a great cheap stone texture mixture on the columns by simply adding a handful of sand into my paint mix. Gives it a real mice texture. I'm painting the lines in between the bricks a tan color, can't really notice it in the pictures though.
I'm pretty happy with it so far.

Somerset Cemetery has an awesome ring to it!

CMG - Absolutely brilliant!!
You've just helped me more than you know. I've been wracking my brain trying to think of a great cemetery name... mystic this, haunted that, but nothing seemed original or good enough. My new name thanks to you is:
RIDGEWOOD CEMETERY
It sounds real. It sounds spooky. It makes sense since it's my street. It's perfect! Thanks again CMG!
Oh, and sorry to take my post of topic.

Ridgewood cemetery sounds real Haunted Host. Glad I could help. I just figured that my street name may be something that people will remember if my haunt ever got big enough.

Congratulations Coal Miners Ghost........I remember last year when I finally decided on a haunt name.....it was such a good feeling to get that accomplished. I love your name & those columns look great.
Haunted Host....I like Ridgewood Cemetery too!
Muffy
PS just a note on how we pick our names: My maiden is Collins, was always terrorized in grade school when Barnabus Collins was the Vampire of the daytime soap operas, my candy business is "Collins Chocolates"......so I tied it all together and started creating a storyline in my web site that has both fictional & real parts of the story. Its to confuse people so they really stand here on my property on Halloween night and whisper among themselves>>>>>>"Is that forest behind her house really HAUNTED?"lol
The candy business being real adds realism to the story so it makes everything questionable. Its fun to try & think up what will keep them challenged!

"Some" Are Set? Cemetary –
05-10-2008,12:28 PM
Some are set in stone, some are set in concrete (some in silly putty?)
I had this pop into my head after reading Somerset: "Somearedead" Cemetary!
And of course half the fun is finding out which ones are and which ones aren't quite dead enough.
The city cemetary on the hill across from my house is called "Oakville", of course most of the oaks died to make way for the 6,400 graves!
They could have named it, "Big Lump of Hard Clay and Rocks Cemetary". I have always thought that is why it is what it is, too poor of a piece of land to bother trying to grow anything in.
Of course it made much more work for the gravediggers!"My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"
