No Ghost Hunters last night. New episodes start at the end of the month. Darn it.

Well, the flying brick may or may not have been real, but it was pretty cool nonetheless. That and the other things they caught were fairly convincing. If it was all staged and a hoax, oh well, but it is entertaining.

Drat!!! I missed your message. Maybe I'll catch it next time. It certainly would have been more entertaining than the news.

I watched this last night. Thanks for the heads up! I guess the brick flying as evidence of the paranormal all comes down to your own experiences. Personally, I can see your point of view. The brick might not have been very heavy and pulled on a line. The video quality wasn't so great in the low lighting to begin with so I can't count that out as a possibility. Also did you notice that the brick moved after the second guy got his light on that area for us to be able to see it? Almost as if that was the cue for the brick to be thrown.

On the other hand, I wholeheartedly believe in the paranormal. Only last halloween, we went to tour the homestead of Henry Clay Frick in Scottdale Pa. While on this tour of the home, a gentleman I didn't know on the tour, walked into the living room area and settled into a spot where he could look in at the pieces of china in a cabinet. He turned to face the cabinet and was bending over to peer in to have a closer look at the china. I just happened to be people watching him when he stood back up and turned to put his back at the cabinet. THEN IT HAPPENED. The two closed doors on the cabinet not only swung open but pushed hard into the guy's back. He mumbled excuse me as he walked forward and then realizing what had just happened proceeded to freak out and tell the docen what i had just saw happen. The guy inquired if it was "rigged" and the docen said, "Sir, that cabinet is worth thousands of dollars, we would not in anyway use it as a prop to scare people. No this place is actually haunted."

I totally believe it was too because other strange-itees continued to happen in the house and on the grounds. If there are any western pa people on this board and you're looking for a paranormal experience, that's the place you'll find one. I know someone here is from West Newton, :waves: and Scottdale is only a half hour or so from you... if anyone is interested, this year it looks like they'll be investigating during the halloween season, I plan on going...

    Haunted Village Tours

    October 24, 25 and 26

This year we investigate the grounds of the museum and determine if the stories about the "Lady in Purple", the "Stove-Top Hat Man" and the other odd occurrences in the Homestead and the Stock Barn are real. Winners of the Annual Flash Fiction Contest held by the Ligonier Valley Writers will be read in the Other Worldly Cafe.

Think I'll create a post of this in the paranormal section for interested persons. I am in no way connected to the museum and gain no monetary revenue from it. I just experienced the hauntedness of the place! Gave me the creeps!

I have seen "Things", felt things and heard things that must be "Supernatural".
I also am told many stories , compliments of the patrons who frequent my house, The Ravens Grin Inn.
I think that most people are telling the truth but of course some are obviously not. They just need more attention, possibly lonely, the, "Can't buy a date" syndrome at work.
I just wonder sometimes if the producers of TV ghost shows submit to the temptation of fakery to maintain their program's ratings? Either that or go back the the cold, wet, stinky Roto-Rooter!
(I used to run one of those too, all by myself, not a one man job. Ouch!)

Hey Gym, you definitely bring up valid points that I've thought of too. I also wonder and to some extent believe that some or even most of these shows resort to fakery. I'd hate to think that they posed a "video expert" to validate the videos that they shot. That would be pretty pathetic, but the thought did cross my mind the first time I saw it. Again, it was entertaining though, and much of their video does look authentic. Time will show I suppose. Eventually, if famous enough, all fakes get exposed. I read last night that these guys were supposed to get a series for later this year. I can't wait because the seemed to get lucky in finding paranormal activity on their little escapades. Maybe a regular series will help prove either it's authenticity or it's fakeness.
