I have come up with an idea. But I need more eyes out there to look or ideas on how to make. I have some feathered owls and want to put in my witches display. But I want to put them in a Medium size bird cage. those domed shaped ones or if I did not spell that right the Bell shaped ones. I have seen some props with other items inside of them. But I want an empty one. If memory serves me correctly Harry Potter has a large one for his owl. Please put your heads together and come up with something for me. I am eyeing a bleach bottle. Perhapes to use as a mold. Unless you guys can think up something. Maybe if I mold in a bowl and then turn upside down or right side up.

Hi Skullie, i use to see these all the time at local flea markets. If you have any in your area you may want to try there. Or garage sales are a good place to look as well. That way you wouldnt have to make it and it would look very authentic. Good luck.
Linus: You've heard about fury and a woman scorned?
Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

This is what I used for my Cornish Pixie cage for my Harry Potter theme, and I got it at Target, it is a pillar candle holder:

Here it is with the pixies, on an office chair, so you can get an idea of scale:

It wasn't expensive, less than $20 as I recall.

flea markets , ebay , garage sales , antique junk places ......we have a exotic bird zoo here and they often have used cage for sale might want to look into that if the cage is broken a bit your fake owls wont mind
ask the pet stores too for reject merchandise....
other solution make one ? not really an easy prop building project but can be done with wire , good plyers to work the wire or a torch to bend wire (depends if your handy or not)A Witch from Canada

We got one at Hobby Lobby (Michaels might also have them) a couple of years ago. My son had a good time taking a hammer to it.

If you are in a area that has Ross stores, I got two really nice ones there.

Thanks so much guys. You are great. With the gas prices the way they are I need to shorten my shopping adventures. The closes Hobby Lobby is a hour away in all directions. That includes The Big "WD"'s Haunted Manson. The construction company I work for is building the new addition to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Mickey waves to me every morning. LOL
