Well, I just mowed the grass for the first time. The motorcycle hasn't even been out of the garage. Heck, I just filed my taxes a couple of days ago.
I just realized when I put the mower away (due to lack of space in the garage), that I have spent the last 5 months preparing for Halloween.
Not only that, I created a web page, my only web page, dedicated to Halloween.
Not to mention the hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars that I have spent on controllers, paint, pvc, motors, cylinders, etc.
My co-workers, and my family, think I'm nuts.
What do you think?

John,
I went to your website and looked at your projects.
The video of your pop-up prop clearly shows that you have enough room in your garage for an actual car.
I would say that's not normal at all. You need to make more props.
(full disclosure: I'm right there with you. So far in 2008, my wife and I have made a grave-grabber, two talking bucky skulls, a flying crank ghost, we've bought MP3 players and speakers for prop sound effects, and we have 4 3-axis skulls, a dangling crank spider, and an animated Alien Facehugger in the works. Haven't even dented our wish list.)Fright in Falcon - Behind the Scenes

A) No, it's not normal.
B) Yes, you're nuts.
C) Welcome Home!!! We are the reason that Halloween is now the second most lucrative sales holiday."I'm not just going to hell...
I'm helping to build it."

Abunai, I just haven't been able to add to the web page. I have built a grave grabber, kicking legs, a talking skull, a trash can trauma, a FCG, a digital recorder, and a digital player. Ive got two wiper motors , a BooBox controller, two cylinders, numersous masks, a ton of PVC, and a wrecked Mausoleum to play with yet. I have scheduled my vacation around camping haunts, Trick or Treat night (we don't do it on the 31st for some strange reason), and conventions.
I think I just answered my own question.

I think you are one of the normal ones.
It's the people who don't love Halloween that are nuts!
Rock on, Jonn!!!

The only odd thing I see is the motorcycle not being out yet, ride that puppy!Props and halloween are more of a disease.
Be polite. Be professional. But, have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

I'm wondering why you don't do TOT night on the 31st...I know in my town, we do it the Saturday before only if it falls on a Sunday (because that would be total sacrelige to TOT on a Sunday
)... :-)
