Don't expect anything happy looking from me

I bought Regan from a guy on ebay. She's beautiful. Her head rotates and her arms are posable.

Cassie, I think I'm a wimp. I don't think Regan and I could live in the same house. Laurie S. has a phobia about dolls (I have a closet full)....but for me, it's Regan and the Exorcist movies. My husband didn't want to go see the original movie, but he said we could go out anywhere I wanted to celebrate the news we were expecting our first child (now 33 yrs. old). So I took advantage of this opportunity to say I "wanted" to see the Exorcist. The movie really scared me. When we got home the hospital called saying my brother had been in a very bad car accident. We were at the hospital until 4:00 a.m. (my brother was unconscious for two days but he was O.K.) Then we turned the lights off and went to bed; the bedroom light kept turning itself back on....a bit to creepy for me. Then for no reason some beads we had hanging in the bathroom window crashed down into the bath tub. It was a night that scared the bajeepers out of me. I love scary movies, and being scared by the unexpected, but that was the one and only movie based on a Satanic encounter I ever watched. I have a very active imagination and for me, some doors just need to stay closed

Oh my goodness Madame Turlock, that would scare the sh*t out of me as well.

Great photo, I see you've been keeping your new props around for a while, and haven't gone to your storage place. =) LOL I think everyone here has a prop out somewhere. Right now my Hex is traveling from room to room. Yesterday he was on the toilet thanks to the hubby. =)

What a night for you Madame, good GRIEF!! I definitely would've been frightened as well! I can't imagine the wave of fear this movie caused when it first came out...and it has withstood the test of time very well, there are so few horror flicks out there today that can make such an impression. (Still don't see how you can live with that little possessed legion in your closet, though. Regan is their idol, you know. )

madame t., i saw that movie as well when it first came out. i like you had never seen anything like that. it was on a first date and i think i crushed the poor guys hands. i had nightmares for a long time over that movie. i like the scares, but nothing that is like that. we had spooky things happen in the house where i lived, but until hearing your story, i never attributed them to seeing that movie. i don't want to see that movie ever again, and i passed on rosemary's baby and the omen. what a scary tale you have just told. it makes me shiver. i am sure glad you brother was okay and everything turned out alright. let's just keep those doors closed.

I saw it in the theater when it first came out and no one had ever seen a movie like that before. It freaked out a lot of people. To this day, I can't watch it alone.
